Spring has Sprung- I Hope !
First ride outside and it was magical- 25 Kpm headwinds, just can’t replicate that in the basement ! First weekend in March outside on a bike in Ottawa just doesn’t happen every year. Last couple of years’ at this time we’d still be buried under 6 feet of snow. We’ll take it while we can because next week may bring 3 feet of new snow- this is Canada after all !
Fund raising is coming along nicely thanks to everyone . The Canadian Underwriter, a national magazine for the Insurance industry , just ran an ad in the February issue concerning my involvement with the SNKCR which I hope will bring in new sponsorships - we’ll see. The support has been terrific. We are just getting invites out to an April 18 “fun raising” event at a local rest./bar which should be fun- bands and beer ! If you are in the Ottawa area April 18 and want to drop in let me know!
